Sketchbooks etc Björn was always active with the fountain pen and the sketchbook . Many are the sketchbooks, dummies and just-for-fun books he did for himself and family. Here you can really feel the artist's family's immediate environment and the times they lived in, including kids and their unmade beds, mother Eva's loom, the hedgehog who lived in the vestibule or Hasse Alfredsson Q-dog, another of the books that has been illustrated by Björn. Which other Alphabet-book would illustrate the letter ”R” with a ruined building? The reason? In Stockholm large blocks of old buildings were torn down to give space to a modern city in concrete and glass with lots of banks, offices and no population.
